The Ultimate "From One Mom to Another" Compliment
So. Small child and I are in Ross. You know, "I got it at Ross!" Anyway, I digress....
We are standing in the check out line and this lady behind us goes, "Excuse me. I just wanted to tell you how loving and patient you are with your son. It makes me feel like I should be more patient with my kids. I want to go home and hug them right now." I was flabbergasted and honored. THANK YOU anonymous Mom in Ross!

BLUE RIBBON MOMENT!
Usually, parents just give me the evil eye as my child annouces he wants to be a woman and then cartwheels into various display cases.
You rock, thing two

Trust me. I get a lot of evil eyes while my son is shooting imaginary Star Wars villians and interuppting everybody with his 175MPH energy level. It was just a particularily good moment. And it was kind of that woman to comment. It was, as you say, a blue ribbon moment.
